Are you a meticulous automotive professional with an eye for detail? We are seeking high-calibre contractors to join the production team for our customer in Malvern, specializing in high-end surface preparation. Our customer offers a unique environment that blends traditional British craftsmanship with modern technology. In this role, you aren’t just a number on an assembly line—you are the foundation of the final product’s quality. Your work ensures that the iconic silhouettes of these vehicles are flawless before they ever enter the paint booth.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Rigorous cleaning to remove dirt, grease, and contaminants.
- Precision Sanding: Expert sanding and grinding to create a perfectly smooth base for paint application.
- Primer Application: Applying primers and undercoats to prepare surfaces for the final stages.
- Quality Control: Inspecting your own work for minor defects, such as scratches or uneven surfaces, and rectifying them immediately.
- Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining prep tools and equipment to ensure a clean, efficient workspace.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly following safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE (masks, gloves, and coveralls).
We are looking for contractors who understand that a world-class paint job is 90% preparation. You should be a disciplined professional who takes pride in flawless workmanship.
Essential Requirements:
- Technical Background: Ideally, you have undertaken a Vehicle Body Craft qualification or possess significant time-served experience in vehicle preparation.
