The Role
We are currently looking for a highly skilled Panel Beater / Tinsmith to join our team in Malvern. In this hands-on role, you will be performing essential Tinsmith operations within an automotive manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for the conversion and repair of vehicles, ensuring the highest possible levels of productive efficiency, workmanship, and finish to sustain customer confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Metalworking: Cutting, forming, straightening, and repairing sheet metal vehicle surfaces.
- Surface Finishing: Sanding, grinding, and linishing shaped or repaired metal surfaces and welded/brazed joints to exact OEM finish requirements.
- Vehicle Integration: Assisting in the hands-on conversion and assembly of structural Body-in-White (BIW) components, including roof, floor, side body panels, doors, and closures.
Requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience as a Panel Beater or Tinsmith within an automotive manufacturing or OEM environment.
- Strong practical understanding of BIW (Body-in-White) structures and vehicle packaging/integration.
- Excellent knowledge of automotive tooling, assembly processes, and sheet metal manipulation.
- A keen eye for detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality, production-ready finishes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively alongside our managed project teams.
