We are currently seeking a skilled Fitter for Van Conversions to join our dynamic team located in the Staffordshire area. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the customization and conversion of vans, ensuring that all work meets the highest quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Expertly fit and assemble various components, including interiors and external fixtures, specific to our bespoke van conversion projects.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to modify, install, and ensure the integration of parts seamlessly.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.
- Follow safety protocols while maintaining a tidy and organized workspace.
- Perform quality checks on finished work to ensure adherence to specifications and customer expectations.
- Keep inventory of tools and equipment and report any malfunctions or needs for replacements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in van conversions or automotive fitting, with a focus on customizing interiors and exteriors.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant workshop or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant tools and machinery used in the conversion process.
- NVQ or Equivalent Qualifications in Automotive or Related Fields.
- Must own suitable tools to perform the job functions efficiently.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.
