About Us

Autoscan UK Limited is a leading provider of quality assurance and inspection services to the automotive industry. With years of experience and a commitment to excellence, we partner with top automotive manufacturers to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

The Role

Are you a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Are you passionate about optimising workflows and bringing out the best in your team? If you're ready to take ownership and lead a dynamic stores operation, driving real continuous improvement initiatives we want to speak with you.

We're looking to recruit a Stores Team Leader to support our client at their state-of-the-art production facility based in the Solihull area of the West Midlands.

You’ll be responsible for supervising and motivating a high-performing stores team where you’ll be the driving force behind a positive, accountable culture, managing daily workloads, conducting shift briefings, and mentoring the team through regular performance reviews and development plans.

Overseeing the end-to-end materials process—from goods-in and ERP/MRP system bookings to precise stock control, picking and line supply. You’ll ensure material availability by collaborating closely with production and planning teams.

Maintaining tight control on inventory using FIFO and strict stock rotation. You’ll track, analyse, and report on critical departmental KPIs (like stock accuracy, picking precision, and processing times), stepping in with corrective actions whenever necessary.

You will champion process improvements, support lean manufacturing initiatives (including 5S and waste reduction), and maintain gold-standard health, safety, and housekeeping practices.

You’ll be a proactive problem-solver who leads by example, balancing the immediate demands of a production line with the long-term goal of operational excellence. You’ll be comfortable enforcing procedures, escalating critical supply chain bottlenecks, and always looking for a more efficient way to get things done.
