Autoscan provides Quality Inspection, Containment & Quality Engineering Services to the Automotive, Off Highway, and all types of manufacturing industries and their supply chain.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Technician for an opportunity based in the Sunderland area of Tyne and Wear.
Responsibilities
The Quality Technician will be responsible for first off / last off inspection confirmations and a basic level of auditing and part confirmation against internal QAIS standards. This includes visual assessment of parts, gloss/colour measurement, and simple vernier inspection measurements.
Quality concern updates will be managed via our bespoke concern management system, and the technician will also update customer-specific systems to demonstrate concern status and progress.
Managing the resolution of quality issues with robust problem resolution actions and closure of the issue to 8D, following supplier discussions.
The successful candidate will be comfortable in customer-facing roles and represent the team in quality forums, from initial investigation to senior management and engineering follow-up meetings, and feeding back to the supplier network.
Based in Sunderland, this role is commutable from South Shields, Jarrow, North Shields, Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, Whitley Bay, Hartlepool, Teesside and Middlesbrough, among other areas of Tyne and Wear and surrounding regions.
Qualifications
Applicants should have previous experience in a similar Quality role, be computer literate, experienced in the use of MRP-type systems, and able to communicate at all levels.
