The Role
We are seeking a detail oriented and skilled engineer to support the evaluation of advanced Driver Assistance Systems (DAS) in pre-series vehicles.
You\’ll be responsible for identifying and clearly defining customer-relevant concerns through both static and on-road testing.
The position also involves capturing comprehensive data logs, imagery, and statistical analysis to ensure effective handover of issues to technical specialists.
Additional responsibilities include planning vehicle specifications, selecting appropriate markets, and scheduling test programmes to assess system performance and verify the effectiveness of any corrective actions.
Testing is conducted both in the UK and internationally, with up to six analysis drives per year ranging from 3 to 10 days.
Travel to global locations—including Europe, the USA, China, Korea, Japan, and the Middle East—may be required as part of this role.
A laptop, access to all necessary systems, and full training on tools and processes will be provided.
Please Note: All candidates must possess valid right to work in the UK without restrictions and must undergo a standard criminal record check (DBS).
The successful candidate MUST also possess a clean, valid UK Drivers Licence – ALL Applications without a valid Drivers Licence will not be considered.
A Valid Passport with no restrictions for overseas travel is also required as some international travel may be required.

Analysis of Issues and Verification of Solutions
- Quick Response to all issues raised by reliability testing stations via the Quality system (ALPOS) to understand and compile a problem statement, determine probable root cause and assess if escalation or allocation to a problem owner is required
- Ability to interpret, analyse and summarise complex vehicle data to enable robust functional problem statements before allocating to a problem owner
- Proactively manage the status of reliability issues reported via the internal database systems and ensure solutions are adequately verified to enable closure
- Ability and confidence to prioritise and escalate issues with potential high customer / warranty impact within functions and forums right through to executive board level
Defining testing and release criteria
- Specify appropriate reliability testing criteria and vehicle usage profiles to help identify potential functional defects in pre-series vehicles which have high impact implications for warranty and customer dissatisfaction
- Ensure all standard reliability profiles adopted by the reliability testing stations cover the different operating scenarios
- Specify required special testing procedures focused to verify specific functional performance of features to meet customer expectations
Release Events
- Perform expert static and dynamic assessment of drive event vehicles
- Critically assess all issues raised during the event preparation drive and collate an accurate list of high impact issues to be reported to the executive board
- Prepare detailed documentation for use at the drive events
