About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in driving financial insight, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring effective financial management across the organisation.
We operate a flexible, remote-first working model, meaning you will work primarily from home but will be expected to attend the office in Dorset on occasion.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary for senior leadership.
- Leading on budget setting, reforecasting, and financial planning.
- Partnering with operational managers to provide financial insight and recommendations.
- Overseeing cashflow forecasting and treasury reporting.
- Supervising and mentoring junior finance colleagues.
- Supporting statutory accounts preparation and external audit.
- Driving process improvements within finance reporting and systems.
What We Are Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong management accounting experience, ideally within housing, not-for-profit, or public sector.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insight.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in leading or coaching junior team members.
- Comfortable working flexibly, both independently and collaboratively.
