We are recruiting for an established commercial insurance broker with specialist expertise in the removals and storage sector. This is an opportunity to join an experienced, supportive team and manage a varied portfolio covering commercial vehicle, motor fleet and liability risks.
You will be trusted to build strong client relationships, manage renewals and mid-term adjustments, and work directly with insurers to secure suitable cover and competitive terms.

The role
You will manage the day-to-day insurance requirements of new and existing commercial clients, providing a responsive and professional service throughout the policy lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing renewals, mid-term adjustments and policy enquiries
- Reviewing risk and claims information
- Obtaining and comparing quotations from insurers
- Presenting renewal terms and recommendations to clients
- Processing adjustments and placing cover within agreed timescales
- Developing strong, long-term client relationships
- Understanding client risks and recommending appropriate insurance solutions
- Negotiating with underwriters to secure suitable cover
- Supporting client retention and profitable account growth
- Maintaining accurate records, correspondence and policy documentation
- Preparing invoices and resolving billing queries
- Working closely with brokers and the wider team
What we are looking for
You will need:
- At least 12 months' commercial insurance experience
- Experience in commercial vehicle, motor fleet, public liability or employers' liability insurance
- A sound understanding of general insurance principles
- Confident communication skills when dealing with clients and insurers
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- A positive, flexible and team-focused approach
- GCSE English and maths at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent
Progress towards CII qualifications would be beneficial but is not essential, as full study support is available.
