An established and well-regarded organisation in the public/not-for-profit sector is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join their small, busy finance team. This is a key role focused on maintaining robust financial systems, ensuring audit compliance, and supporting budgetary processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bank and control account reconciliations
  • Line management of a finance assistant responsible for transactional input
  • Oversight of internal financial processes and ensuring audit trail integrity
  • Posting of income and managing direct debits
  • Monitoring departmental budgets and expenditure commitments
  • Ensuring purchase orders, invoices, and payments are correctly authorised
  • Supporting external auditors during transaction checks and system reviews
