An established and well-regarded organisation in the public/not-for-profit sector is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join their small, busy finance team. This is a key role focused on maintaining robust financial systems, ensuring audit compliance, and supporting budgetary processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bank and control account reconciliations
- Line management of a finance assistant responsible for transactional input
- Oversight of internal financial processes and ensuring audit trail integrity
- Posting of income and managing direct debits
- Monitoring departmental budgets and expenditure commitments
- Ensuring purchase orders, invoices, and payments are correctly authorised
- Supporting external auditors during transaction checks and system reviews
