We are now seeking a highly skilled Luxury Dressmaker / Tailor to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering exquisite garments of the highest standard.

Role Overview

As a Luxury Dressmaker / Tailor at E P O K WOMAN, you will be responsible for producing, altering, and refining garments with the highest level of precision, from cutting to the finished garment. You will work directly with fine fabrics, ensuring flawless construction and fit. The role requires a deep understanding of luxury fashion craftsmanship, expert sewing skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Garment Construction: Expertly craft garments from start to finish, ensuring the highest luxury/couture-level standards.
  • Alterations & Refinements: Execute precise alterations and hand-finishing to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Pattern Knowledge: Work with existing patterns and be able to create small adaptations if needed.
  • Fabric Handling: Work confidently with delicate and luxury materials such as silk.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure every stitch, seam, and finish meets our impeccable standards. You must be able to sew with 3mm or less French seams and 1mm pin hems (this is an essential skill).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Creative Director.
  • Efficiency & Time Management: Maintain a high level of efficiency without compromising quality, ensuring timely deliveries.

Requirements

  • Expert Level Sewing Skills: Excellent hand-stitching and machine techniques at a luxury couture level. Ability to sew with 3mm or less French seams and 1mm pin hems in all silk weights is essential.
  • Cutting: Responsible for cutting and sewing your garments through to completion.
  • Pattern Knowledge: Ability to adapt existing patterns to achieve precise fits.
  • Fabric Knowledge: Extensive experience working with high-end fabrics and techniques such as French seams, hand-rolled hems, and bespoke tailoring methods.
  • Strong Eye for Detail: Work with precision to ensure flawless finishes and impeccable craftsmanship. Ability to sew with 3mm or less French seams and 1mm pin hems is essential.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Confidence in troubleshooting fit issues and construction challenges.
  • Time Management: Work efficiently while maintaining unwavering quality standards.
