We're looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to join EIS based at Solihull on a 12 month Fixed term contract covering maternity leave.

We're looking for a Senior Contract Manager to take the lead on a diverse portfolio of contracts – from development through to day-to-day management – within our B2B team. You'll oversee the full contract lifecycle for our commercial customers, ensuring agreements run smoothly and deliver on their promises. As a Senior Contract Manager, you will provide expert input into new contracts, lead commercial reporting on contract performance, and support and guide colleagues in the contracts Team.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage contracts within our B2B business, being responsible for the full contract management cycle of Commercial customer agreements. Lead the commercial reporting to the wider Business & Market Development business on contract performance.
  • Holistic assessment of opportunities and risks either directly or in support of Senior Commercial Managers in developing, managing and delivering identified programmes and transactions.
  • Proactive stakeholder management with senior internal and external relationships. Including, but not limited to working closely with key colleagues in Operations, other New Business Commercial functions, Sales, Delivery, Finance, Environment, Legal, and Strategy and Policy. Proactive risk mitigation by alignment with policy, legal and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Manage E.ON's credit exposure through active long/medium and short term contract assessments.
  • Own the production of highly complex gross margin business plans, ensuring these are integrated with operational site plans and all available customer demand information.
  • Individually be responsible for the development and delivery of bespoke customer billing and contract reporting to major heat and power customers in accordance with customer-specific requirements, also monthly financial analysis to produce gross margin results and performance analysis.
  • Manage transition arrangements for any contracts where these come to completion and are or are not renewed.

  • Proven ability to influence and build trust, with experience in customer and partner negotiations, contract management, and using commercial tools effectively.
  • Great communicator and relationship builder, with a collaborative approach and experience working closely with colleagues and senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Strong commercial mindset, able to spot opportunities, balance strategic and creative thinking, and bring clarity to complex situations.
  • Confident working with numbers and data, with strong analytical skills.
  • Experienced in delivering change and managing projects, including transitions between different types of contracts.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, able to work with and adapt complex models and data tools to support contract or regulatory changes.
