We're now looking for an experienced Management Systems and Audit Advisor to play a vital role in embedding best practice across our operational teams. This is your chance to take ownership of management systems and assurance frameworks that keep us aligned with leading standards.
You'll be part of our Safety, Assurance, Governance and Environment (SAGE) team, driving compliance and governance activities across the EIS Operations business. Your work will support, facilitate and deliver compliance, governance and assurance activities and requirements associated with maintenance of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Asset, Management systems and standards.
Key responsibilities
- Planning and delivering a proactive internal and external audit programme.
- Manage coordination and maintenance of certified ISO management systems (e.g. 9001, 14001, 45001, 55001).
- Identify, implement and manage compliance tools and systems to support monitoring and continual improvement.
- Develop and maintain robust policies, procedures, and governance processes aligned with regulatory and industry standards.
- Support the business to identify compliance requirements and embed them into daily operations.
- Conduct gap analyses to inform and support the ongoing compliance strategy.
- Deliver reports, insights and recommendations based on audit data and non-conformities to proactively identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Contribute to EIS-wide compliance and assurance initiatives to ensure an integrated approach to governance
What we need from you
- Strong knowledge of ISO Management Systems Standards implementation and maintenance (e.g. 9001, 14001, 45001), including proven internal auditing experience.
- Proven experience in compliance, governance or SHEQ roles, within an operational or engineering environment.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Solid knowledge of SHEQ-related legislation, policies, and procedures with the ability to give effective advice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills – able to influence at all levels.
- Highly organised, analytical, and proactive in identifying and managing risks and improvements.
It would be great if you had
- Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001/14001/45001.
- IEMA foundation or Environmental Management qualification.
- Experience working with ISO 27001 or information security governance.
