We are looking for a Junior Commercial Lawyer to join our team based at Trinity House on a 12 month secondment. Please note this is a hybrid working role, 2 days a week required on site.

The award-winning E.ON UK Legal, Compliance and Data Protection Team (LCDP Team) provides invaluable support to its colleagues to achieve E.ON's business objectives with the purpose of leading the energy transition..
The LCDP Team is headed by General Counsel and Compliance Officer, Kirin Kalsi. Kirin currently manages a team of 39 lawyers and compliance experts with nine Senior Legal Counsels acting as point of contact for their respective E.ON business areas, and a Senior Data Protection and Compliance Manager.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Commercial Lawyer to join the LCDP Team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. In this role, you will report into Senior Legal Counsel and primarily support the E.ON Next business with legal matters including contracts, compliance, and regulatory issues. You will be required to provide advice on all aspects of new and existing energy solutions and commodity contracts concerning residential clients as well as marketing and advertising promotions.
What we need from you
- You are a qualified solicitor of England and Wales with 1-3 years' experience in a commercial role.
- You have a hardworking approach with a proven ability to work to tight timescales in a fast-paced environment.
- You have business acumen with a practical, commercial approach to problem solving .
- You are enthusiastic, positive and a great team player.
- You have great interpersonal skills with the ability to deal confidently and build strong and trusting relationships with business colleagues.
- You have excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
It would also be great if you had
- Experience of consumer or retail related work, particularly within a regulated business.
- Experience of working in-house.
- Ability to work in a quick paced business facing role and be hands on, resilient, adaptable and organised.
- Proven ability to manage own workload.
