Strategist Here\'s what you\'ll be doing Help shape the future of business energy npower Business Solutions (nBS) is one of the largest Business to Business energy suppliers in the UK. From our Solihull base, and backed by E.ON UK, we’re helping UK businesses to adapt to a changing energy landscape. We’re looking for a forward-thinking Strategist to join our team. In this brand-new role, you’ll work closely with the Strategy Manager to develop our overarching strategy and policy positions for nBS, as well as commercial strategies that deliver value to our customers. If you\'re driven by insight, collaboration, and meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you. This role will offer the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) on an ad-hoc basis. Key Responsibilities Support the Strategy Manager in the development and maintenance of the strategy for nBS, within the overall E.ON UK and E.ON Group strategic context. Undertake qualitative and quantitative research of the external environment, such as customers, markets, technologies, policies, new business models and competitor strategies. Help diagnose strategic problems and develop options for consideration, including opportunities for growth. Support the External Affairs Manager to influence the external policy landscape, promoting the brand and reputation of nBS as a recognised and trusted voice of industry and consumers. Perform horizon scanning by identifying policy developments, facilitating the tracking of policies and developing lobbying positions. Understand the impact of the political and regulatory landscape on our strategic roadmap, identifying opportunities, risks and appropriate mitigating strategies. Create reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, often in time constrained situations. Provide expert policy guidance and advice to key business owners and customers and work closely with the Marketing team to leverage the nBS brand to promote the voice of the customer and business. What we need from you Highly numerate, with demonstratable experience of financial analysis and graphical representation of data. The ability to undertake qualitative analysis to identify and convert themes into meaningful outputs. Excellent communicator, with experience of simplifying complex themes for a broad range of stakeholders. Experience of producing high quality written content, in both word and power point, for senior audiences. A proactive and creative approach to problem solving. Comfortable working on multiple projects with changing priorities, often involving ambiguity and tight timescales. It would be great if you had Relevant qualification with a numerate discipline or demonstrable work experience. Previous experience of creating high quality insight which has been used for commercial decision making. Experience of strategy development. Knowledge and understanding of the commercial environment, regulatory framework and market context of the UK Energy Industry.
