Utility Solutions Apprentice – Sleaford
Join E.ON UK as a Utility Solutions Apprentice as part of our Lighting & Grid team within the UK Energy Infrastructure Solutions business. You will be involved in power engineering cable jointing and street lighting installation, service and maintenance across the Sleaford area.
Location: Units 4 and 5, The Reservation, The Compound, East Road, Sleaford, NG34 7BY
Salary: £15,348
What you\’ll be doing
- Learning practical skills in utility solutions technology from local depot to public highway and construction sites.
- Attending block release training programmes to obtain formal qualifications and trade skills such as plant operation and live electrical connections to the underground power distribution network.
- Working closely with experienced professionals and mentors to develop a comprehensive understanding of the power engineering industry.
- Contributing to E.ON’s sustainability and efficiency goals through hands‑on project work.
What we need from you
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades A‑C / 9‑4) including Maths, English and Science.
- Real interest in engineering shown through relevant work placements, studies, hobbies or projects.
- Passion for safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Completed the minimum school‑leaving requirements and age 18 or older.
- Team‑oriented with confidence to work independently when required.
