What you'll be doing

  • Direct and inspire a team of skilled commercial contract managers, ensuring the efficient delivery of customer contracts across the EIS in‑life business.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for our in‑life clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering strong, successful partnerships.
  • Supervise the renewal process for existing contracts, ensuring continuity, and leveraging opportunities for contract enhancements and extensions.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Operations teams to synchronise commercial and operational flows, shape customer solutions proposals, and identify opportunities to unlock and protect future value, including cross‑business initiatives.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for commercial optimisation and risk mitigation within the existing customer base.
  • Advocate best practices in commercial management and forecasting using proven and innovative tools, models, techniques, and knowledge.
  • Lead contractual and commercial negotiations to ensure optimal outcomes for customers and E.ON.
  • Drive continuous internal process improvements to foster business growth and effectively utilise data to meet customer requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry legislation, regulations, and market trends, understanding their impact on the operational business and EIS contractual obligations.

What we need from you

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team of specialists to achieve outstanding results in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Extensive experience in commercial and contract management across a diverse portfolio of customers and solutions.
  • Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Proven ability to identify and drive commercial opportunities and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across multiple teams, ensuring alignment of commercial and operational flows.
  • Experience in driving change through improved ways of working and continuous improvement initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to innovation and efficiency.

It would be great if you had

  • Financial or legal experience.
  • An understanding of the Energy Infrastructure Solutions business.
  • An understanding of energy markets, policy and regulation.
