E.ON has successfully launched a licensed Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) to simplify grid connections and accelerate the UK's net-zero transition. As an IDNO, E.ON will own and operate new local electricity networks (connected to the regional DNO) anywhere in Great Britain, offering connection service, pace and excellent customer experience.
Right now, we’re looking for a Client Account Manager to play a key role in the successful delivery of grid connection projects. You’ll build trusted relationships with clients, providing clear, proactive communication and guidance while coordinating activity across internal design, legal, commercial and operational teams. With a strong focus on project delivery and customer experience, you’ll help translate complex technical and regulatory processes into a clear, well-managed journey for our clients, supporting the IDNO’s ambition to deliver high-quality connections at pace and scale.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the main client point of contact for the project delivery and asset adoption journey
- Ensure smooth transition following the sales process throughout the asset management journey
- Provide proactive updates and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Liaise with internal design and legal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project milestones
- Coordinate the processing and issuance of MPANs (Meter Point Administration Numbers)
- Oversee the issuance of connection agreements
- Support AV (Asset Value) payment processes and ensure a timely resolution of related queries
- Take ownership of centralised mailboxes, ensuring prompt and professional responses
- Provide ad-hoc support across other business areas as required
- Update internal systems with project updates
What we need from you
- Experience in project delivery within infrastructure sector.
- Experience of managing external client accounts and maintaining good working relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
