Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare fully qualified estimates with risk assessments and inclusions/exclusions.
  • Analyse client tender specifications, legislation, and documentation to produce accurate time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.
  • Conduct site visits and stakeholder meetings to inform estimates.
  • Identify contractual risks and propose mitigating solutions.
  • Maintain supplier, contractor, and subcontractor directories.
  • Support tender processes, including timelines, action plans, and vendor selection.
  • Prepare handover documentation and post‑award support for operational teams.
  • Adhere to bid and estimation governance, supporting contract negotiations.

What we need from you:

  • Estimating experience in the domestic social housing and/or private retrofit markets with demonstrable experience in insulation, building services or renewable/low‑carbon measures.
  • Strong financial and commercial experience in estimating and budgeting.
  • Extensive experience in tender assessment and negotiations.
  • Experience with bills of quantities, schedules of rates, and lump sum estimates.
  • Construction‑related qualification (ONC, HNC, or equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving skills.
