We are looking for a Data Services Manager to join our team based in Leeds or Solihull. this role supports the hybrid working model and pays from £66,660 – £79,595 along with a market leading benefits package. Data Services Manager Here's what you'll be doing I&C UK (trading as Npower Business Solutions) is a core part of E.ON UK. With around £6bn in annual revenues and 20,000 customers we operate at scale to make new energy work for UK businesses. Our 1,000 colleagues are central to our ambitions in the UK market, and making our business a great place to work is central to our strategy.  The Data & Metering Services business is on a mission to substantially increase revenues over the next 5 years by 2028. We will do this by providing timely and accurate consumption data to our customers, helping them take action on their energy consumption, and guiding them through Market Wide Half-Hourly settlement. We will be a market leader in Data & Metering Services.  The role of the Data Services Manager is to provide a commercial Data function (Data Collection, Data Retrieval, Data Aggregation, and Meter Administrator functions) to I&C's metering portfolio for the Advanced market. Ensure the delivery of high-quality metering and data function to enable customer service across core services and ensure maximum profitability from the on and off supply metering base while maintaining compliance standards.  The role is a key member of the Data & Metering Services leadership team, contributing to strategic topics and supporting the broader I&C UK goals. Deliver Data Collector (DC), Data Aggregator(DA), and Data Retrieval(DR) operations on behalf of I&C in conjunction with all internal supply service levels, external commercial contractual targets, and business plan.  Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry targets and requirements in relation to DC, DA, and DR service delivery.  Validate pre-billing of half-hourly data and ensure it is in line with settlement information.  Establish robust interfaces with core service teams and market-facing teams to ensure effective delivery of existing and new services and products.  Develop a framework for managing issues leading to the misalignment of settlement and billing volumes.  Deliver accurate timely billing in line with forecast, customer, and contractual expectations for off-supply customers.  Work to continuously improve billing data, providing feedback to metering and segments & monitoring future improvements.  Manage exceptions, customer billing queries, manual billing, account maintenance, and account changes for off-supply customers.  Develop strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance performance.  Lead, develop, and motivate teams, fostering a high-performance culture.  Act as a key advisor on metering strategy to senior leadership.  What we need from you Essential  Knowledge of the energy markets and associated regulatory and legal frameworks, commercial and operating processes including metering, billing, and settlements.  Ability to operate within a highly complex and rapidly changing market.  Experienced in negotiating with and managing outsourced contracts.  Ability to analyse and interpret complex data to optimize financial and service performance.  Experienced in directing a multi-functional team of specialists with strong leadership and coaching capabilities.  Strong organizational skills to balance tactical and strategic business priorities.  Financial control and commercial management skills, including budget setting and cost control.  Experienced leader of people, able to engage and support colleagues through change.  Highly skilled organiser, able to manage multiple competing priorities and stakeholders.  Desirable  Strategic responsibility for setting or influencing business strategy.  Commercial understanding of a significant part of metering business and UK’s energy market including its economic and political pressures.  Enthusiastic and passionate about delivering and exceeding business performance with a strong growth mindset.  A confident communicator with an ability to deliver complex messages simply, clearly, and concisely.  Eager to deploy new (digital) technologies to increase performance and efficiency.  Creative thinking to find new opportunities and resolve emerging problems.  Here’s what you need to know   Award-Winning Benefits: Our market-leading benefits package includes 26 days of holiday plus bank holidays, a generous pension scheme, life cover, bonus opportunities, and access to 20 flexible benefits with tax and/or NI savings.
