We are looking for an organised, proactive and collaborative colleague to join our team, supporting the delivery of domestic energy efficiency improvement projects.

This role is responsible for managing a network of contractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest workmanship standards, while maintaining excellent customer service and supporting programme delivery.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, contractors and clients to ensure Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) requirements, compliance standards and project targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE)
  • Support Green Funding Solutions in fulfilling its duties as Principal Contractor under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).
  • Assist the Site Manager, where required, with preparing and maintaining project Construction Phase Plans through the review of contractor documentation, including:
  • Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Training records
  • Competency evidence
  • Deliver site inductions for new operatives and visitors.

• Deliver toolbox talks covering

  • Site-specific activities
  • Company-wide SHE communications.
  • Carry out Work in Progress (WIP) safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed within agreed timescales (maximum 10 working days).
  • Promote and support Near Miss reporting and contribute to safety trend analysis.
  • Champion the principles of Vision Zero and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Compliance

• Ensure installations comply with all relevant standards, including

  • Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS)
  • Gas Safe
  • Building Regulations
  • Complete post-installation quality inspections and snagging inspections where required.
  • Ensure all identified corrective actions are resolved within agreed timescales.
  • Provide technical support to colleagues undertaking desktop compliance audits.
  • Review retrofit documentation, designs and compliance paperwork before uploading to client portals.
  • Complete compliance checks on PAS documentation and communicate outcomes through client portals.
  • Project Delivery & Programming
  • Support Site Management by providing regular updates on property progress and programme status.
  • Assist with reviewing and managing pre-construction information provided by clients.
  • Help maintain programme performance by identifying risks, delays and opportunities for improvement.
  • Reporting & Administration
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project and property information on Microsoft Dynamics and client portals.
  • Ensure construction records and compliance documentation are complete and readily accessible.
  • Maintain an accurate daily site diary.
  • Contractor Management
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with delivery partners.
  • Monitor contractor performance, workmanship and compliance with company standards.
  • Support continuous improvement through regular communication and feedback.
  • Customer Experience

• Deliver a positive customer journey by

  • Providing clear pre-start information
  • Supporting access arrangements
  • Ensuring residents' homes and belongings are appropriately protected during works
  • Support the effective resolution of customer complaints by recording issues accurately and working collaboratively with the Advice Centre and operational teams to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business, sharing knowledge and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, peers, contractors and clients.
  • Contribute to lessons learned activities and support best practice across projects.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate

  • Experience managing contractors or delivery partners within the construction, retrofit or energy efficiency sector.
  • Good understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 and health and safety best practice.
  • Knowledge of PAS 2030, PAS 2035, MCS, Gas Safe and Building Regulations.
  • Experience reviewing technical and compliance documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence both internal and external partners.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and solve problems effectively.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Dynamics (or similar business systems).
  • Competence using Microsoft 365 applications.
  • A positive, collaborative approach with a willingness to both support colleagues and seek support when needed.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Desirable

  • Experience within domestic retrofit or energy efficiency programmes.
  • Experience using client compliance portals.
