We’re looking for a Senior Litigation Leader providing legal support and assistance to Credit Operations, with further support to the wider E.ON Group of Companies. You will be leading a dedicated team of Litigation Officers and managing a portfolio of claims including applications, meditations, advocacy and other litigation needs.

Responsibilities
Court Case Management
- Responsible for a caseload of Fast/Multi/Complex case management to judgment or resolution.
- Negotiating and drafting legally binding settlement agreements in writing, over the telephone and where necessary, attending mediation with opposing parties.
Advocacy
- Responsible for attending court in all case types on behalf of E.ON Group.
- Providing coaching, training and support to the Litigation Officers, alongside the Senior Litigation Officers.
Audit/Training
- Responsible for auditing Litigation Officer case management and associated documentation pertaining to their cases.
- Coach all aspects of all case management for Litigation Officers.
- Provide ad hoc support to the wider Litigation team.
- Collaborate with Senior Litigation Officers to produce and implement training materials where Litigation Officer knowledge gaps are identified.
- Provide support and guidance to Litigation Officers to identify the best enforcement action for individual cases.
Stakeholder support and People Management
- Support with the performance management of all 3rd parties.
- Support other departments and families across E.ON in relation to litigation (pre, post and complex disputes).
- Support wider teams with complex queries to avoid escalation with written and verbal communication.
- Identify the best enforcement action for individual cases.
- Identify, provide insight and take action to improve upstream processes.
- Role model E.ON Next Values and embed E.ON Next Culture.
- People Management of Litigation Officers, including development, performance management, leading through change and supporting all aspects of their wellbeing.
- Delegation and supervision of casework to Litigation Officers ensuring fair distribution.

- Experience of working within a Litigation Team managing a portfolio of claims including applications, meditations, advocacy and other litigation needs.
- Qualified to CILEX level 3 or equivalent law qualification.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to construct a coherent argument both verbally and in writing, and to adapt communication to suit the recipient.
- Effective stakeholder management skills including both internal and external parties.
- Ability to generate own correspondence using appropriate professional and legal language.
- Strong organisational skills to include being able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a busy team and to work alone and using initiative.
