E.ON Next is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Brand Designer to join our creative team on a 12-month FTC maternity cover basis. At E.ON Next, we’re passionate about creating a brand that feels progressive, bold, impactful, and reliable. In this role, you’ll be a key guardian of our brand, shaping and protecting its visual identity across every touchpoint while helping our teams communicate with clarity and consistency. You’ll also play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the infrastructure that underpins brand guardianship — from managing our brand platform and guidelines to creating scalable tools and templates that empower teams across the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on brand design at scale, working across campaigns, content, and internal initiatives while championing the systems and standards that keep our brand thriving.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • You will act as a brand guardian, serving as a consultant and point of contact for all things brand design, ensuring consistency and quality across the business.
  • Maintain, develop, and evolve our brand guidelines so that they remain relevant, inspiring, and practical for teams to use
  • Help to develop workstreams and processes to help establish a brand design team within the in-house creative agency.
  • Manage, develop, and implement our brand management platform Frontify, keeping it up to date and ensuring it remains a trusted and accessible resource.
  • Create, manage, and upload brand templates for both paid and organic media, including social, display, CRM, and presentations.
  • You will help consult on quarterly campaigns across digital, social, and OOH, delivering creative work that is aligned with our business objectives.
  • You will collaborate closely with our Creative Director, the wider design and copy team, and stakeholders across the business to deliver impactful design solutions.
  • You will lead and mentor a small team of designers, reviewing and approving their work to uphold brand standards and support their growth.
  • You will also design and produce creative assets across digital, social, print, motion, and presentations, always keeping brand integrity at the heart of your work.

Are we the perfect match?

We’re looking for a Senior Brand Designer with the following skills and experience:

  • You have a standout portfolio that demonstrates expertise in brand design, identity systems, and visual storytelling.
  • You have proven experience in brand guardianship and in applying guidelines consistently across a wide variety of channels and formats.
  • You have demonstrable experience in maintaining and evolving brand guidelines, including setting standards for new media types.
  • You have hands-on experience with brand management platforms (ideally Frontify), including building, uploading, and maintaining assets and templates.
  • You are confident in implementing creative autonomy enablement and governance practices, ensuring teams across the business have the tools, guidance, and freedom to deliver great work while staying on-brand.
  • You have exceptional skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma, with a working knowledge of motion design (After Effects, Lottie, HTML exports).
  • You are comfortable collaborating with, presenting to, and consulting senior stakeholders, confidently championing brand consistency while adapting to business needs.
  • You have experience managing or mentoring other designers, reviewing and approving work at a senior level.
  • You are highly organised, with strong time-management skills and the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • You have extensive experience designing for digital, print, and OOH campaigns.
  • Extensive experience designing for digital, print, and OOH campaigns.

It would be great if you had:

  • 4–8 years of experience in brand design roles within an in-house creative team or agency.
  • Experience working within a regulated sector (energy or utilities would be highly advantageous).
  • Confidence working with Google Workspace (including Google Slides), Asana, and Slack.
  • Hands-on experience with Frontify – building pages, uploading, and maintaining assets and templates and assisting with user access will be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Experience with other design software and platforms such as Canva and Celtra will be beneficial but not essential.
  • A keen eye for design trends, new technologies, and how AI tools can unlock efficiencies.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to flex across both strategy and execution.

Here’s what else you need to know:

  • Role may close earlier due to high applications.
  • Fixed term contract length – 12 month FTC
  • Excellent parental leave allowance.
  • Award-Winning Workplace – We’re proud to be named a Sunday Times Best Place to Work 2025 and the Best Place to Work for 16–34-year-olds
  • Outstanding Benefits – Enjoy 26 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a generous pension, life cover, bonus opportunities and access to 20 flexible benefits with tax/NI savings
  • Flexible & Family-Friendly – Our industry-leading hybrid and family-friendly policies earned us double recognition at the Personnel Today Awards 2024. We’re open to discussing how flexibility can work for you
  • Inclusive & Diverse – We’re the only energy company in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers. We’re also proud winners of Best Employer for Women and Human Company of the Year—recognising our inclusive, people-first culture
  • Support at Every Stage of Life – We’re Fertility Friendly and Menopause Friendly accredited, with inclusive support for everyone
