As a Product Manager at E.ON Next (12‑month FTC), you will play a pivotal role in shaping thoughtful, intelligent products that blend AI and non‑AI capabilities to serve a growing and diverse customer base. You will bring curiosity, empathy and creativity to solving complex problems, working closely with technology and design to craft solutions that feel intuitive, responsible and impactful.
Responsibilities:
- Gently guide and prioritise your team’s focus to address meaningful customer challenges and unlock valuable opportunities.
- Develop a deep, empathetic understanding of users, their behaviours and the wider market landscape.
- Own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from discovery and ideation through to delivery, across both AI and non‑AI products.
- Shape intelligent, adaptive products and agents that respond thoughtfully to user context and evolve through data.
- Use data and insights to inform decisions, continuously refining product performance and customer experience.
- Champion your product vision with clarity and passion, bringing stakeholders on a shared journey.
- Embrace experimentation and iteration, validating ideas through testing (including live or simulated models) to ensure meaningful outcomes.
- Actively contribute to the Product Community, sharing knowledge and supporting collective growth in product and AI practices.
Qualifications:
- Around 3 years’ experience in product management, ideally within agile discovery and delivery environments.
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- Experience working closely with UX/UI specialists and engineering teams, using discovery techniques to shape solutions.
- A strong understanding of when and how AI creates value compared to traditional software approaches.
- Practical experience applying AI to solve real‑world problems, including agentic or autonomous systems.
- A thoughtful approach to building safe, responsible AI, with awareness of risk, governance and appropriate autonomy levels.
- Confidence in using data and analytics to guide decisions and measure success.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a natural ability to influence and bring people together.
Nice to have:
- Experience working on AI‑driven or data‑rich products within a customer‑focused environment.
- Familiarity with the AI Product Development Lifecycle (AIPDLC) and experimentation frameworks.
- Exposure to energy, utilities or similarly complex regulated industries.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and navigating evolving problem spaces.
- A passion for inclusive design and creating products that genuinely improve people’s lives.
- Experience contributing to or nurturing product communities or knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Additional information:
- Role may close earlier due to high applications.
- Fixed‑term contract length – 12 months.
- Location – London or Nottingham with travel to other sites when required.
