As a Product Designer (UX/UI) at E.ON Next Digital, you’ll help shape thoughtful, inclusive, and beautifully simple app and web experiences used by millions of customers. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, with a headcount of 4 roles available, based in a hybrid working model with time in our London office and reporting into the Product Design Lead.
Working within a supportive, cross-functional product squad, you’ll balance user needs, business goals and technical realities to design accessible, high-quality digital products. This role is ideal for a midweight to senior designer who’s ready to grow her confidence, influence and craft and the opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable energy future.
Responsibilities- Designing intuitive UX/UI solutions for mobile apps and responsive web products across discovery and delivery
- Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, researchers and fellow designers within an agile product squad
- Creating user journeys, flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs
- Supporting and participating in discovery, ideation and journey-mapping workshops
- Applying and contributing to the E.ON Next design system to ensure consistency, quality, and care
- Working closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and thoughtfully
- Presenting design work clearly and confidently to team members and stakeholders
- Ensuring designs meet accessibility and usability standards while learning and growing through feedback
- Experience working as a Product Designer / UX Designer on app and web-based digital products
- A portfolio showcasing strong user-centred thinking alongside considered UI execution
- A solid understanding of UX, interaction design, visual design and accessibility principles
- Experience collaborating within cross-functional, agile teams
- Clear, confident communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Comfort receiving feedback, iterating on designs and continuously developing your craft
- Experience supporting or contributing to UX research activities such as usability testing or interviews
- Experience working with or contributing to a design system
- Awareness of accessibility standards such as WCAG
- Experience designing within complex or regulated environments
- Experience exporting designs to AI tools or rapid prototyping workflows
Role may close earlier due to high applications. Fixed term contract length - 12 months. Location – London - E.ON Next, 47-53 Charterhouse Street, Farringdon, London, EC1M 6PB - with travel to our other sites when required. Excellent parental leave allowance.
