Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to our business customers, dealing with everything from billing to meter exchanges, making our customer happy in every interaction.
- Engage with industry stakeholders and customers alike over the phone and via email.
- Actively solve customer problems by providing efficient and knowledgeable solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting solutions to help us consistently improve the company.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience (full training will be provided if new to energy).
- Ability to think on your feet in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good English skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to empathise with customers and go above and beyond to make sure their problems are resolved with fantastic solutions.
- Excitement to solve complex problems.
- Drive to identify and implement change.
Additional Information
- This role may close earlier due to high application volumes.
- If you are invited to a discovery day, this will be held at our Nottingham hub.
- If you are successful in your application, our initial 8‑week training will also be held at our Nottingham hub and will be hybrid; you will commute to Nottingham city centre three times a week for the remaining two days each week.
Benefits
Starting salary: £24,983. Pathways for progression to Advanced (£26,856). Annual leave: 26 days plus bank holidays, plus the option to buy an additional 2 weeks. Generous pension contribution. Guaranteed time off work to celebrate your birthday.
Location & Working Arrangements
After training you can choose to be based at our Nottingham city centre hub or at our Leicester hub (Syston). Our flexible and hybrid ways of working include Monday‑Friday 9 am‑5 pm; you will spend 2–3 days a week with your team in our hubs and work remotely the remainder of the week.
Compliance & Contract
DBS check and right to work: a basic DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check will be carried out via a 3rd‑party provider. This role is not VC-sponsored. Contract options include full‑time (37 hours) and part‑time (minimum 30 hours) – training will be full‑time (37 hours).
