We're seeking an ambitious, target-driven Business Development Manager to expand our growing presence in the UK residential new build (developer) market. You'll play a pivotal role in driving growth by proactively identifying, engaging, and securing new business opportunities with national and regional house developers. This is a home-based role with regular travel to our offices and client sites as required. We are offering this role on a 12 month fixed-term contract basis.

Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:

  • Opportunity Development: Identify and qualify opportunities within the UK house developer market using your own industry relationships, networking, and data-driven lead generation.
  • Solution Selling: Present our range of energy solutions to C-level executives, procurement teams, and technical stakeholders, tailoring proposals to developer requirements with a focus on smart new connections whilst driving cross sell opportunities across the entire new build value chain.
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture lasting relationships with senior decision-makers, ensuring E.ON Next is the trusted partner of choice for new-build energy solutions.
  • Market Development: Attend, where beneficial, industry specific conferences to stay ahead of the game when it comes to market direction and maintain good working relationships with customers in attendance.
  • Commercial Delivery: Own the full sales cycle - from initial outreach through contract negotiation and close, meeting and exceeding revenue and margin targets.
  • Collaboration: Influence and contribute to the product and proposition roadmap, feeding in customer feedback whilst creating a robust handover with operational and servicing teams to ensure seamless project delivery and excellent customer experience. Join forces with sales colleagues from other parts of the business to offer end to end proposals.

Are we the perfect match? Here's what we need from you:

  • Proven Track Record: Significant B2B sales experience within the housebuilder or new build construction market, ideally gained through working directly with national or regional housebuilders, with a history of achieving or exceeding ambitious targets (experience in the energy sector is advantageous, but not essential).
  • Relationship Builder: Able to engage credibly with C-suite and senior stakeholders, creating long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Self-Starter: Comfortable generating your own pipeline from relationships, networking, and industry data sources.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills and a keen understanding of commercial drivers in the residential developer market.
  • Flexible & Mobile: UK-wide travel as required.
