We are looking for process-driven, agile-minded individuals to join us on our mission to create a zero carbon, zero bill, zero friction future for our customers. Our internal venture studio is where we turn groundbreaking ideas into reality. We're not just building ventures; we're shaping a sustainable energy future. We're seeking a Venture Administrator who thrives on bringing structure to the beautiful chaos of early-stage venture building. Ensuring that each of our new ventures hits its milestones, stays on budget, and delivers our promises.
Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:
- Support Venture Operations: Act as the administrative right-hand to the EIR, handling day-to-day PMO tasks so the core team can focus entirely on building and validating.
- Maintain Project Documentation: Keep our project management tools (like Jira, Asana, or Confluence) tidy and up to date, ensuring tasks, risks, and milestones are accurately logged and tracked.
- Track Budgets & Expenses: Assist in monitoring the venture's financial runway, managing purchase orders, processing invoices, and keeping our spending records immaculate.
- Coordinate Schedules & Meetings: Manage complex calendars, schedule customer research interviews, and organise team workshops or sprint planning sessions.
- Onboard Vendors & Partners: Help navigate corporate procurement and legal processes to quickly set up the tools, software, and external contractors needed for our experiments.
- Prepare Pitch Materials: Assist the EIR in gathering data, formatting reports, and organising documentation ahead of crucial investment committee pitches.
Are we the perfect match?
- Startup Enthusiasm: You have some experience in project administration, PMO or Project Management.
- Innate Organisational Skills: You have an innate ability to keep things structured; creating order out of chaos is second nature to you, and you never let important details slip through the cracks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: You can spot an administrative bottleneck from a mile away and know exactly how to navigate the corporate landscape to fix it.
- Experience with lean startup methodologies: You understand that plans change quickly in a startup, and you can adapt your tracking and admin processes without missing a beat.
- A self-starter: You have a bias for action and a relentless focus on keeping the team moving forward by removing administrative friction.
It would be great if you had:
- Experience in the energy sector or navigating the administrative, finance, and procurement processes of a large corporate environment.
- Supported an EIR, founder, or project team in an incubator, accelerator, or early-stage startup.
- Proficiency in PMO and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, or SAP).
We encourage you to apply if you have a passion for building disruptive solutions and shaping the future of innovation!
Here’s what else you need to know:
- Role may close earlier due to high applications. Please note that a cover letter is required as part of your application. Applications submitted without one will not be progressed.
- Fixed term contract length - 12 months.
- Competitive salary.
- Location – London, Solihull or Nottingham with travel to our other sites when required.
