SME Proposition Lead is responsible for supporting the design, development, and delivery of customer propositions across SME, for example, Core tariffs, Time of Use tariffs, Export tariffs, Business Energy Management tools, and ‘Solutions’ like Solar & Battery, EV and Heat.

The role works closely with the SME Senior Proposition Managers, SME senior leadership, SME operational teams and wider functions like Go To Market, Change, Digital Technology, Data and Regulatory/compliance to ensure new and existing propositions are designed around customer needs, are commercially viable, and are delivered effectively to market.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of SME propositions, from concept through to launch and in-life optimisation.
  • Support proposition managers with business case development, market research, and competitor analysis.
  • Draft proposition requirements and work with operations, digital, technology, and delivery partners to bring solutions to market.
  • Monitor performance of live propositions (adoption, usage, margin, CX, NPS) and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure propositions are aligned with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and company strategy.
  • Contribute to the design of customer journeys and experiences, ensuring simplicity and accessibility.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Good communication skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of the retail energy market.

It would be great if you had:

  • Knowledge of low-carbon technologies (EVs, solar, heat pumps, battery storage).
  • Familiarity with customer research, data analysis, or business case development.

Performance Measures:

  • Delivery of assigned proposition work packages on time and to quality.
  • Contribution to proposition launches and in-life improvements.
  • Effective cross-team collaboration.
  • SME Propositions Experience and/or SME Commercial or Operational experience.
