We are looking for an experienced Digital Delivery Manager with at least 5 years’ experience to join E.ON Next on a 12-month fixed-term contract in a hybrid London based role. You will be embedded across 2–3 product squads, partnering closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers and QAs to ensure complex digital products and services are delivered on time, in scope and to the highest quality. This is a senior, hands-on role where you will coach teams in agile and lean practices, manage dependencies, unblock delivery challenges and optimise delivery flow across squads.
In return, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to work on high-impact digital products in a fast-moving, digitally-led energy organisation and a supportive environment focused on collaboration, learning and progression. This role is ideal for someone passionate about driving delivery excellence, embedding best-practice agile methods, and helping teams achieve their full potential.
Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:
- Own and facilitate sprint cadence and agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Support Product Managers with backlog refinement, ensuring items meet the team’s definition of ready and maintain sprint hygiene in Jira and Asana.
- Coach and lead teams in agile and lean practices, tailoring approaches for each squad and iterating delivery methods to suit the context.
- Proactively identify and resolve risks, dependencies and blockers, including issues where ownership is unclear, keeping delivery on track.
- Use flow metrics (cycle time, lead time, throughput) to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement across squads.
- Lead cross-squad planning, manage dependencies and maintain visibility of delivery roadmaps at portfolio and quarterly levels.
- Collaborate with other Agile Delivery Managers to standardise ways of working, share learnings and optimise delivery across the digital organisation.
- Bring data and insights into retrospectives to support evidence-based process improvements and inform resource allocation.
Are we the perfect match?
- At least 5 years’ experience as an Agile Delivery Manager, Delivery Lead, or Senior Scrum Master in a digital product environment.
- Proven track record delivering complex, high-risk products and services across multiple squads.
- Deep knowledge of agile and lean practices, with the ability to tailor approaches to suit different teams and contexts.
- Strong experience managing risks, dependencies and blockers, including where ownership is unclear.
- Experience using flow metrics to optimise delivery and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong proficiency with Jira and Asana.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence across all levels.
- Hands-on, embedded approach with a bias for action and problem-solving.
It would be great if you had:
- Experience in energy, utilities or other regulated digital environments.
- Familiarity with scaled agile approaches or cross-team coordination patterns.
- Experience coaching and mentoring other delivery managers or scrum masters.
- Background or exposure to product management, engineering, or digital transformation.
- Experience standardising end-to-end delivery practices across multiple squads.
Here’s what else you need to know:
- Role may close earlier due to high applications.
- Fixed term contract length - 12 Months.
- Competitive salary.
- Location – London.
- E.ON Next, 47-53 Charterhouse Street, Farringdon, London, EC1M 6PB - with travel to our other sites when required.
