As a Credit Specialist at E.ON Next, you will support residential customers to manage debt and help achieve debt reduction. You will conduct inbound and outbound calls, and manage emails to create tailored repayment plans and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Debt Resolution – Treat each customer as an individual, tailoring repayment plans to their circumstances and securing support for vulnerable customers.
  • Expert Communication – Hold sensitive conversations about finances, encouraging openness and building trust.
  • Customer Data Analysis – Analyse customer data to uncover patterns, predict behaviours and inform strategies.
  • Investigative Tracing – Use internal systems, credit reports and other resources to verify customer information.
  • Own the end‑to‑end customer experience, handling difficult conversations and objections to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Strong empathy and the ability to see situations from the customer’s perspective.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills; fluent in English both written and verbal.
  • Experience in customer service – preferably in finance collections (training provided if new to energy).
  • Data‑driven mindset, using insights to improve service.
  • Self‑motivated, goal oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Team player with a drive to implement change and exceed targets.

Job Details

  • Full‑time: 30–37 hours per week.
  • Location: Leicester.
  • DBS check required.
  • Right to work: Not sponsorable.
  • Salary range: £25,983 to £31,573 (Progressive pathway).
  • Hours: Monday–Friday 9am–5pm; hybrid of remote and hub days.
