The I&C (Complex) field team are a ringfenced team, servicing the metering requirements of the I&C pillar which involves whole current, LV and HV CTO systems. Due to forecasted growth and increased demand, we are looking for additional meter technicians to join the team on a permanent basis who live in the following postcode areas: GU, RH, BN.
You must have a minimum of 12 months 3-phase meter installation experience and be willing to work across the UK which will involve stopping away from home.
Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:
- To deliver the highest levels of on-site safety, quality and customer service.
- To install, commission and configure all types of electric meters up to the level granted within your individual permit to operate.
- The installation and replacement of metering communication equipment.
- Accurate and timely recording of the details of all works conducted on site, including the detailed reasoning for why works could not be safely conducted or completed.
- To conduct on-site inspections and investigations to identify faults and where safe to do so, rectify during the same visit. (Where it is not possible to do so, providing accurate reporting of why.)
- Held single and 3-phase electric metering PTO for a minimum of 12 months.
- Willingness to travel and work across the UK when operationally required.
- Willingness to stay overnight away from home when operationally required.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Have good customer service skills and able to communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Knowledge and understanding of single & three phase domestic and commercial electrical installations.
- A full valid UK/EU driving licence (preferably clean, but with a maximum of 6 points).
- Have the ability to plan and organise their activities effectively.
