Salary – £32,280 plus excellent benefits and career progression
As part of this role, you will carry out general duties, including all aspects of digging associated with LV service jointing, column/sign/bollard erection/removal, and related cable networks.
You will also handle driving, delivery, and general yard duties to support the Lighting and Grid business.
Main Responsibilities of the role
- Remove or decommission assets as required.
- Install and decommission street lighting equipment and EV connections.
- Drive company vehicles, including HGVs.
- Operate lorry-mounted crane.
- Perform excavation work for joint holes, columns, signs, bollards, and cable runs.
- Use tools, equipment, and vehicles safely.
- Support skilled and specialist operatives.
- Work safely, adhering to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality policies.
- Follow operational practices and risk assessments.
- Take responsibility for personal Health & Safety.
- Mentor young and vulnerable persons on site.
- Wear PPE at all times.
What we need from you
- Current NRSWA qualification LA 01 to 08 + 08.
- High manual dexterity.
- Willingness to work unsociable hours if needed.
- Ability to understand and follow work instructions.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Polite and courteous interaction with the public during work.
It would be great if you have
- G39, HESA 210 and 214 safe isolation qualifications.
- MEWP CPCS qualifications.
- Up-to-date UK HGV Class II Driving License.
- CPCS Lorry Loader or equivalent.
