Here's what you'll be doing:
E.ON UK operates one of the largest Street Lighting Contracting businesses in the UK with a large presence in the East and West Midlands as well as the North West of England. We have four Street Lighting PFI's and work for most local authorities in the areas we operate in. We operate as an ICP and carry out jointing associated with the installation and connection of electrical networks for most of the housing developers in the UK. We have agreements to work on the DNO and IDNO networks in the UK and we are now looking at expanding and growing our team. To assist with this growth and to meet our current obligations we are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Highways Electrician to join our team based in Blackpool.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out installation of street lights and both routine and non-routine street lighting maintenance, including electrical testing.
- Routine electrical street lighting maintenance and installation.
- Non-routine electrical street lighting maintenance including fault finding and repairs.
- Electrical testing.
- Driving and operating company vehicles appropriate to the role.
- Carry out risk assessments and work to company policies and procedures.
- Work on own initiative or as part of a team and supervision of a working party.
- Attending call outs as required.
- Use of hand held electronic devices to record information.
What we need from you:
- Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or Street lighting and LV services training programme.
- C&G 236 pt 1 and pt 2 or equivalent with extensive & proven relevant trade experience.
- Full G39 qualification.
- Current NRSWA Accreditation.
- ECS Card.
- Full driving licence.
