Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team in a new E.ON business that is set to lead the competition in the connections market space? As an Asset Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our network installations while ensuring we meet all Ofgem and industry standards at all times.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Carry out inspections on all aspects of the networks being constructed, including substation installation, Earthing installation, main laying, cable jointing, and update the necessary business systems with the output.
  • Witness electrical testing of the network cable pulling tensions and Earth testing.
  • Ensure any Defect during construction is notified and closed out by the ICP in a timely manner.
  • Provide advice and support to ICPs working with or on behalf of E.ON Network Assets on health, safety, environmental, quality, and best practice matters.
  • To conduct post adoption regulatorily inspections in accordance with industry guidance and procedures.
  • Ensure that safe working practices are always maintained.
  • Manage regular and routine correspondence with internal and external stakeholders to control and deliver onsite requirements.
  • Provide onsite support for ICPs enquiries.
  • Liaise with up-stream Network Operators as and when required.
  • Produce reports for various levels in the organisation following inspections and audits.
  • Maintain and analyse reports and inspections results.

What we need from you

  • Understanding of electrical engineering.
  • 18th Electrical wiring Regulations 18th edition.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meticulously inspect electrical equipment to identify any irregularities or potential issues.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • You will need to be mobile throughout the UK and therefore a full driving licence is required.
