This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while earning a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician qualification. You'll work in an engineering environment, learning to maintain and repair complex systems while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Conducting planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Performing mechanical repairs, including welding and fabrication.
- Diagnosing faults using electrical drawings and testing equipment.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and efficiency.
This role is hands-on, so you'll need to be ready to work in an industrial environment. Strict adherence to PPE requirements is essential.

Training & Location
In your first year, you'll attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre full-time for an initial block of study, returning to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block, you'll attend the AMRC Training Centre one day a week for knowledge-based training, with the remaining four days spent on-site, learning on the job. You'll be based in Nottingham during your apprenticeship after completion of your initial study block in Sheffield.
