Responsibilities

  • Champion the development and implementation of the UK Industrial Relations strategy, tightly aligned with our broader People priorities.
  • Forge and nurture strong, constructive partnerships with Trade Union Representatives and act as a crucial liaison for union engagement.
  • Drive continuous improvement of our Employee Relations framework and HSE facilitation arrangements.
  • Provide clear, authoritative interpretations of policies, frameworks, and collective agreements to both union and business stakeholders.
  • Lead consultation initiatives aimed at modernising collective agreements and workforce frameworks, helping us stay ahead of change.
  • Proactively identify emerging risks and deliver practical, effective solutions to ensure smooth Industrial Relations across the business.
  • Play a pivotal role in organisational change by supporting consultation planning, communications, and implementation.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with specialist teams—including Reward, Payroll, Safe & Well, and Data & Insights—to deliver coordinated, impactful IR solutions.
