The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out full BMS commissioning to comply with the project requirements. This will include production of schedules, description of operation, modification of the panel design, production/modification of drawings, and, when required, the creation of software and graphics. You will be expected to work well as part of a commissioning team, but also work efficiently on your own as required. You may be responsible for supervising junior engineers, ensuring they work effectively and safely whilst on site. You will be part of the project's commissioning team; therefore, the sharing of technical knowledge with other engineers is encouraged, whilst obtaining support from the team when necessary.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Check emails daily for instructions
- Responsible for making backups of software and strategy files as required for all associated systems/sites
- To liaise with sub-contract engineers and clients and report back with any design or engineering changes or issues
- Responsible for building and maintaining strong client relations
- Responsible for day-to-day management of sub-contractors
- Responsible for attending site-based commissioning/progress meetings as required
- Responsible for the overall commissioning of the project and ensuring the project is delivered in line with the program of works and intended design
- Responsible for carrying out field point-to-point checks, terminations, panel, and wiring mods where required
- Responsible for commissioning various DDC control systems (TREND, Tridium, or others as required), completing wiring and commissioning schedules, updating control panel drawings, and the description of operation in the commissioning file
- Produce a daily report of work carried out and submit to the relevant Project Manager, highlighting any delays, the cause, and the timescale
- Ensure that all 'AS COMMISSIONED' information is collated and returned to the relevant Project Manager, or saved appropriately
Ability to work well as part of a team but also work efficiently on your own. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Self‑motivated, responsible and accountable. Good customer relations. Commercial awareness (training to be provided as required). Good understanding of Safe Systems of Work and the importance of H&S in the workplace.
