About the role
The Renewables Electrician will install and commission renewable energy systems, including solar PV systems, EV chargers, battery storage and other innovative products for new build housing developers. The role is site‑based and requires daily travel, with occasional overnight stays. You will ensure the highest standards of quality, safety and customer service through the safe and efficient installation of PV systems, accurate paperwork, compliance with MCS and health, safety and quality standards, and effective use of digital tools for certifications and reports.
Responsibilities
- Install 2nd fix solar PV systems, AC isolators, generation meters and inverters.
- Provide electrical installation certificates and other required forms on the day of installation.
- Maintain zero RIDDOR reportable accidents across working sites.
- Achieve successful audits, ensuring work meets quality and regulatory standards.
About you
Previous experience in solar installations and/or domestic new builds is required, and you should possess the following:
- 18th Edition electrical qualifications (BS7671)
- N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) or a completed apprenticeship with AM2
It would be helpful if you also have:
- Solar certification (BPEC or City & Guilds)
