About the role
Join the UK’s largest new build solar installer to develop a career in installing EV chargers, Solar PV systems, battery storage and other innovative products for housing developers. Your mission is to achieve the highest standard of quality, safety and customer service in low‑carbon electrical installations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safe and efficient installation of PV systems (inverters and generation meters)
- Accurate and timely submission of paperwork, including MCS compliance and health, safety and quality standards
- Daily site work with travel within the region; overnight stays as required
- Use of Apps for certifications, reports and other digital tools
- Problem‑solving, attention to detail and a commitment to customer needs
- Working effectively both individually and as part of a team
- Delivering excellent levels of service within established timeframes
Requirements
- 18th Edition electrical qualifications (BS7671)
- N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) or a completed apprenticeship with AM2
- Previous experience in solar installations and/or domestic new builds
- Strong communication skills, reliability and a team‑player attitude
- Excellent time‑keeping and the ability to work within set deadlines
- Flexibility to adjust arrangements and a drive to go the extra mile for customer service
- Integrity, passion and determination to make a difference for the future
Helpful but not essential:
- Solar certification (BPEC or City & Guilds)
- Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small‑Scale PV Systems
- CSCS/ECS Card for site works
- Testing and Inspection 2391‑52
- Experience in 3‑phase installations
