Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Position Type: Full-Time, 10-Month Position (Temporary for School Year)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students with significant behavioral, emotional, and neurodevelopmental needs. In this role, you will conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), design and implement evidence-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and provide direct coaching to special education staff, classroom teachers, and paraprofessionals to foster inclusive, trauma-informed learning environments.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Behavior Assessments & Plan Development: Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and draft comprehensive, individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) in alignment with IEP goals and student needs.

Staff Coaching & Training: Model behavioral techniques, data collection methods, and de-escalation strategies for classroom teachers, behavior specialists, and paraprofessionals.

Data Analysis & Progress Monitoring: Collect and analyze behavioral data regularly to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make data-driven adjustments to student plans.

IEP & Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration: Attend IEP, eligibility, and manifestation determination meetings; present clear behavioral data and collaborate with families, school psychologists, and administration.

Crisis Prevention & De-escalation: Support school teams during acute behavioral crises using approved non-violent crisis intervention and de-escalation protocols.

Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain precise documentation, session notes, and assessment reports in compliance with district, state, and federal (IDEA) standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Professional Certification & Credentials:

Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the BACB.

Valid Delaware State Licensure / Certification (or eligible to obtain prior to employment).
Standard District Clearance Requirements:

Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Clearance.

Current Tuberculin (TB) Test and Physical Clearance.
-
Mandatory Direct Deposit setup.
Core Competencies:

Strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles within K-12 educational settings.

Exceptional interpersonal, consultation, and conflict-resolution skills.

Proficiency in behavioral data software, IEP systems, and progress monitoring tools.
