As an Assistant Leakage Detection Engineer, you will work alongside experienced Leakage Engineers assisting in detecting leaks within both public and private water networks. You will be working outdoors and will be required to carry out a full range of leak detection activities on behalf of our client. This role will progress to a fully qualified leak detection engineer and provide a pathway into the water industry.
Responsibilities
- Detection of leakage using various leak detection methods
- Use of acoustic sounding equipment and technologies
- Carry out valve operations on the water network
- Carry out water pressure checks and installing pressure logging equipment
- Checking flow data and installing loggers on flow meters
- Identifying and resolution of customer side leakage
- Deployment, collection and analysis of acoustic and hydro loggers
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to cope with the physical nature of the role including entry into confined spaces
- Be able to work safely and responsibly at all times
- Hold a full current valid clean driving licence
- Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, numeracy and computer skills
- Adhere to management structure and follow all company policy, procedures and directions
- Previous experience of construction site work or equivalent outdoor work
