We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Clinical Pharmacist to join our pharmacy-based clinical services team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of medicines optimisation, providing high-quality clinical care and supporting safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines.

Main duties of the job:

  • You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver private pharmacy services.

Job responsibilities:

  • Support safe prescribing, dispensing, and supply of medicines.
  • Liaise with GPs, consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Identify and manage medicines-related risks and interventions.
  • Support patients with long-term conditions through counselling and follow-up.
  • Contribute to audits, service improvement, and clinical governance activities.
  • Support training and development of pharmacy staff where appropriate.

Person Specification:

  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Experience working in a clinical pharmacy environment.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Independent Prescriber qualification (or working towards).
  • Experience in primary care, secondary care, or community clinical services.
  • Postgraduate clinical diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in service development or quality improvement.
