The role: BTG Pactual is seeking to hire two Analysts to support the Portfolio Managers of the FICC & Equities, Special Situations (Opportunistic Credit) team based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis across all aspects of investing, covering the 4 quadrants (public, private, equity, and debt).

  • Investment due diligence including review of financial reporting, interviewing research analysts, and attending meetings / calls with management.
  • Financial analysis including detailed financial modelling and scenario testing (debt and equity).
  • Preparation of investment notes, Investment Committee Memos, and participation in Investment Committee discussions.
  • Asset management activities including monitoring existing positions / private investments and updating financial models upon reporting from invested Companies.
  • Assist Portfolio Managers in building and tracking relationships with sponsors and other external parties.

Relevant and robust experience in a buyside investment role in private credit or equity, Credit or Equity Research, or investment banking (leveraged finance or DCM). Strong oral and written English skills. Other languages would be preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills. Certification would be a plus (CFA, CAIA).
