This is a key role that helps to manage and deliver the pension propositional design for our customers, providing expertise and advice under the direction of the FNZ Senior Leadership Team. The focus is delivering high quality products and services to our clients.

The Head of Pensions will represent FNZ in all pension product related matters, with a clear focus on delivering greater value and assurance to the member base alongside strengthening the FNZ success in the market to date.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, develop and own the pension proposition strategy for Securities Limited to ensure it is scalable and profitable.
  • Lead commercial discussions related to the pension proposition for Securities Limited in collaboration with relevant Senior Leadership Team (SLT) stakeholders.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and deliver propositional enhancements.
  • Provide propositional assistance & guidance to our customers, working alongside customers to develop the ongoing proposition roadmap.
  • Identify future FNZ roadmap items in line with customer needs and market trends.
  • Increase FNZ market share by working closely with the FNZ sales and strategic relationship teams to develop future sales strategies for new and existing customers.
  • Communicate effectively with the SLT to facilitate oversight and decision making, including strategic planning.
  • Drive the delivery of FNZ commercial objectives in line with the Board approved strategy, budget, and risk appetite for the Securities Limited pension proposition.
  • Represent FNZ in the UK market with existing customers, prospects, market participants, service providers, and regulators.
  • Develop strategic relationships with existing clients to deliver value and mitigate risks.
  • Act as the pensions subject matter expert to ensure products remain competitive and compliant with regulatory, legal, and business requirements.

Strategy

  • Develop and deliver the pension proposition strategy aligned with the FNZ Board’s appetite.
  • Oversee current products (SIPP, ISA, and GIA).
  • Support SIPP trustees in managing strategic objectives and reporting to trust members.
  • Enhance products and services to improve member and client experience.
  • Engage with clients, IFAs, and investment managers for product clarification and problem resolution.
  • Participate in the sales process to support proposition knowledge sharing.
  • Manage senior relationships across the business and with external partners to achieve optimal results.

Operational and Governance

  • Ensure client contract compliance and manage client relationships.
  • Handle day-to-day administration of SIPP and other products.
  • Manage MSAs, communicate service incidents, and oversee KPI/KRI delivery.
  • Address complex pension technical queries ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Support continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Maintain product documentation and ensure regulatory alignment.
  • Report to senior management on operational issues and develop solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience with UK Pension Products within the Wealth Management industry.
  • Knowledge of UK financial services regulations and pension products.
  • Experience in wealth management, regulatory environments, and consulting in financial services.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a client- and delivery-focused environment.
