Aspora is building a Financial Services platform for immigrants around the world. We’re first taking on the Indian diaspora – the largest and wealthiest immigrant population. 18 million Non-Resident Indians hold over $1.5T in wealth, of which $500B is back in India. They remit $125B back every year and account for 25% of all real estate purchases in India. Yet, the banking experiences of these NRIs are archaic. We’re building a new age platform to service these NRIs with cross-border money movement.

About The Role
We are excited to hire our first Head of Finance who will lead Aspora’s financial strategy and operations as we scale internationally. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role that reports directly to the CEO, with a fast-track path to CFO in 12–18 months.
You’ll be building the finance function from the ground up; setting up infrastructure, driving strategic finance, leading capital raising, and managing multi-country financial compliance in a regulated fintech environment.
- Lead FP&A & Strategy: Drive forecasting, budgeting, business modelling, and capital allocation across all business lines.
- Build Global Finance Infrastructure: Set up systems, controls, and policies across the UK, UAE, India, and beyond.
- Fundraising & Investor Relations: Manage equity and debt raises, investor communications, and data room ownership.
- Treasury & Capital Efficiency: Oversee real-time fund flows, FX exposure, and cross-border treasury operations.
- Regulatory & Audit: Own multi-jurisdictional audits, tax compliance, financial reporting, and regulator relationships.
- Team Building: Hire and lead a lean, world-class finance team with scalable processes and automation.
- Qualifications: ACA / ACCA / CA / CPA qualified or qualified by experience (CFA or MBA a plus).
- Experience: 8+ years, including 3+ years in a senior finance role, with a background in fintech, payments, digital banking, or remittance.
- Proven track record of building finance functions from scratch in high-growth environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, comfortable engaging with executives, auditors, and regulators.
- Strong technical skills, including SQL.
- Strategic, hands-on, and fast executor with a big-picture mindset.
- Confident in complex, regulated environments.
- Analytical, tech-savvy, with a bias for automation.
- Ownership-driven, passionate about building scalable systems.
