Responsibilities:

  • Strong communicator who can explain investment concepts to non-experts.
  • Client facing experience.
  • A background in Investment Grade Credit.
  • Foster business relationships with consultants, institutional and wholesale clients.
  • Support the wider team via ownership of pitch messages, materials, and RFPs.
  • Help to drive the commercial agenda in terms of branding, PR, sales messages, and thought leadership.
  • Ability to present at seminars and roundtables would be an advantage.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Product Specialists within the CPM team.
  • Interact effectively with distribution and marketing teams.
  • Maintain and develop investment expertise, market knowledge, and understanding of Columbia Threadneedle's Fixed Income strategies.
  • Ability to work in a team environment will be a key requirement.
  • Attend compliance and risk training workshops as required.
  • Always act with integrity.
  • Maintain awareness of and manage risks in line with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Do not engage in behaviour that might have a negative impact on the proper functioning of the markets.
  • Escalate concerns that could result in poor customer outcomes and/or a negative impact upon market integrity immediately.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to communicate with a range of audiences.
  • A strong fixed income background, and a focus on Investment Grade Credit.
  • Proven team player.
  • Highly numerate - need for Power Point, Excel, Bloomberg, and Aladdin skills.
