Job Description

Job Title: Consulting Partner/Managing Director – Private Banking & Wealth Management
Client: Boutique Management consulting and Technology firm with 500 employees globally and a growing UK team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a location strategy and long-term strategic plans to drive growth between 2026 and 2028
  • Client Leadership: Act as a strategic advisor to C-level executives in private banking and wealth management. Lead engagements across digital strategy, operating model transformation, and technology enablement.
  • Business Development: Drive go-to-market initiatives, lead proposal development, and secure new business. Expand the company's presence in the UK wealth management sector.
  • Delivery Oversight: Oversee the execution of complex transformation programmes, ensuring delivery excellence across all client projects.
  • Team Leadership & Management: Build, lead and mentor a high-performing consulting team. Foster a collaborative culture focused on innovation, continuous development, and high-impact outcomes.
  • Thought Leadership: Champion innovation within the firm by developing new topics or leverage the knowledge available in the broader group. Represent the company at industry events, contribute to publications, and shape the company's perspective on digital trends in wealth management.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years in consulting or financial services, with a strong focus on private banking and wealth management.
  • A proven track record of leading digital transformation initiatives (eg target operating models, process optimisation, core platform modernisation, AI-driven initiatives).
  • Deep understanding of the UK private banking and wealth management landscape, including regulatory frameworks, latest trends of the industry and client expectations.
  • A strong network within the UK private banking and wealth management market, including key stakeholders and industry players.
  • Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and drive business growth.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale transformation programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Knowledge of AI in wealth management, and digital client engagement models.
  • Familiarity with relevant Banking platforms such as Avaloq, Temenos, or other 3rd party banking platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in comparable roles.
  • Good understanding of wealth management and its relevant processes
  • Affinity for technology and its implementation
  • Structured and analytical mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
