An established Main Contractor operating across Greater London is seeking an ambitious Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team. The company delivers a range of high-quality residential, commercial, mixed-use and refurbishment projects across London and the South East.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate QS looking to take ownership of projects, work alongside experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors and progress within a reputable contractor environment.

The average salary range for Intermediate Quantity Surveyors in Greater London currently sits between approximately £50,000 and £65,000 depending on project exposure, sector experience and contractor background.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account
  • Preparing subcontractor packages, procurement schedules and tender analysis
  • Managing subcontractor valuations, payments and variations
  • Supporting cost reporting and forecasting
  • Assisting with preparation of CVRs and monthly commercial reports
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and site teams
  • Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks/opportunities
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and contractual requirements
Requirements
  • 3-6 years' Quantity Surveying experience
  • Previous experience working for a Main Contractor
  • Experience across residential, commercial or mixed-use projects
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Good understanding of JCT contracts
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and commercial reporting systems
