Thera Trust has an exciting opportunity available for an Information System Developer to join our team based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £37,294.91 per annum, DOE.

About the Information System Developer role:

You will be working in a specialist information team within IT developing and implementing the organisations information strategy.

To do this, you will work closely with various business functions reviewing their information needs and processes. You will recommend, develop and support improvements or new systems to capture and store data and manage business processes. These systems will also provide robust management reporting capabilities.

Our goal is to support evidence-based decision making throughout the organisation to deliver the best care and support possible, directly or indirectly.

We use a variety of tools to deliver information systems including a cloud-based workflow platform, SQL databases, Power BI, legacy Excel spreadsheets and business systems HR, finance etc.

Previous experience of no-code or low-code form and workflow based app development is required, regardless of platform (e.g., Power Apps, Dynamics, Salesforce.com). Experience with Nintex K2 Cloud specifically is not expected; appropriate on-the-job training will be provided.

We are looking for an Information Systems Developer to join the team who can:

  • Design and develop apps in low code cloud-based systems to collect structured and unstructured data from end users
  • Develop SQL databases and stored procedures to provide data storage for the low code apps, including DB maintenance and performance tuning.
  • Build data pipelines to automate ETL workloads to refresh curated data sets which support reporting and analysis of information
  • Solve complex problems in creative ways and propose appropriate best fit solutions according to different needs and priorities.
  • Work independently using existing technical skills including:
  • SQL database development
  • Writing SQL code, stored procedures for applications, views for data extraction, ad hoc queries or data updates
  • Data engineering to automate the flow of data for reporting
  • Power Query to extract and transform data from different sources as semantic models for reporting

Technologies you would be using to fulfill this role include:

  • Low code development using the Nintex K2 Cloud SAAS platform
  • Azure SQL
  • Azure Data Factory for automation of data pipelines
  • DAX data modelling
  • Power BI for analysis and presentation of data, controlling access to data based on user roles.
  • Built-in reporting tools to extract data from core business systems
