Are you a skilled driver with a hands‑on attitude, ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real impact? We’re on the lookout for a Tanker Driver to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive vacuum tankers and carry out pumping, servicing, repair and cleaning of a wide range of tanks, bilges, compartments and ship systems.
  • Lead and organise staff on projects, ensuring all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Complete all documentation accurately, including customer sign‑offs and maintain high cleanliness standards on customer sites.
  • Undertake specialist cleaning, high‑pressure jet washing, confined‑space work and fire sentry duties when required.
  • Ensure compliance with waste management regulations, tanker driver regulations, PPE requirements and all Health & Safety procedures.
  • Liaise with customers, support service engineers and uphold Marlin Environmental Services’ standards at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Knowledge of ship systems is essential.
  • Experienced in operating vacuum tankers, pressure washers and pumping systems, with strong practical skills and confidence using hand tools.
  • Knowledgeable in confined‑space working, MARpack procedures and specialist tank/bilge cleaning standards.
  • Good understanding of ship systems and able to differentiate between survey, hot‑work and preservation cleaning requirements.
  • Holds a valid HGV licence, ADR (if applicable) and CPC.
  • A strong team player with excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Reliable, safety‑focused, adaptable and able to maintain high attention to detail under pressure.
